Jesus. Frickin'. Christ.
As John A. of AmericaBlog.com would say: Worst. President. Ever.
Seems the bullshit speeches about Katrina were full of lies. It takes a federal judge to make Bush and the FEMA staff do their jobs.
"NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana (AP) -- A program that put Hurricane Katrina evacuees in hotels must be extended until February 7, a month beyond the deadline set by the Federal Emergency Management Agency, a judge ruled Monday.
U.S. District Judge Stanwood Duval's temporary restraining order is part of a class-action lawsuit filed in November by advocates for hurricane victims.
Attorneys pressing the lawsuit said FEMA should not be allowed to end the hotel program because it has failed to provide other housing aid, such as rental assistance checks, to many victims who qualify for it."
Bastards. Make his sorry ass sleep outside this winter in a cardboard box. It'll be his reward for doing a heck of a job.

I think it's funny that conservatives are debating about whether or not the cost of rebuilding New Orleans is worth it, given the risks of future hurricanes etc, while on the other hand sinking billions into "rebuilding" Iraq. I need a stiff drink....
Yeah. I know- a $95M tax cut last week for the rich and we can't rebuild levees at the costs of $32B? WTF??? Did I mention we spend $177M a day in Iraq? That's in a single fucking day. We can pay for it in 6 mos. if we withdraw. But then where would the defense contractors get money to pay the GOP off?
Oh, and don't even get me started on the DOD contracts scam. I had wondered what McCain was alluding to on Meet the Press two weekends ago, but between Emptyman's post and The LeftCoaster's great post- http://www.theleftcoaster.com/archives/006253.php , I think I now know why they're so worried about keeping DeLay in January. They need him to button down the hatches.
I need to start doing more crim law. There will be some serious cases out there in the next few years in the public arena.
